NativeScript: Native apps in Javascript without WebView

May 7, 2015Front-End, Tools, Uncategorizedjfadev

NativeScript It is a open source framework of Telerik that allows you to use JavaScript to build native mobile applications for Apple iOS, Google Android and, in the future, Windows Universal.

Unlike Apache Cordova and PhoneGap in the development of cross-platform applications, NativeScript you get direct access to native APIs and UI performance on native platforms and not an encapsulation in WebView.

It provides a simple way, easy and modern to build native cross-platform mobile applications with JavaScript with the best possible user experience provided by the operating system with a single base code, which simplifies the development and significantly increases productivity.

Other characteristics important in this framework is that you can integrate with the popular Google Javascript AngularJs framework 2.0.

  • fix(core): remove once listeners by identity, not stale index (#11306)Observable._fireEvent iterates a copy of the observers array but passedthe copy's loop index to _handleListenerEntry, which spliced the livearray at that position. When an earlier listener was removed during thesame notify pass (a handler calling off() on itself, or a preceding`once` entry being consumed), the live array shifted left and thesplice for a later `once` entry removed the wrong listener or none atall. The `once` listener then stayed subscribed and fired on everysubsequent notify, while an unrelated listener could be silentlyunsubscribed.Look up the entry's current position via indexOf before splicing andmark it _isRemoved (matching innerRemoveEventListener), so a consumed`once` entry is removed exactly once – still before its callback runs -even when the array has shifted or the notify pass re-enters., GitHub
