The text editor Atom of GitHub It is now available in its first stable version.
Atom is essentially based on web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS). The aim of the project GitHub it was to combine quality visual editors such as SublimeText with all the expansion capabilities, as Emacs. Atom is a nice-looking highly customizable open source text editor.
The tool is based on the engine of Node.js and the open-source browser Chromium, runing as a desktop application.
Personalization is in the center of the editor, simply to master JavaScript and CSS to change its functionality and develop plugins. Atom currently has more of 2.100 extensions and 660 themes.
Atom was adopted by Facebook as the basis of their open source IDE Nuclide.
Atom can be downloaded for Windows, Linux, OS X and source code is available under the terms of the MIT license.
